Module 2 - Planning an IT Project (one day workshop)

In this module you will learn to:

Use planning diagrams to optimize the planning process.

Involve the relevant team members throughout the planning process.

Carry out effective scheduling of the resources required by the project.

Select plans architecture to reflect the requirements of each project.

Determine the composition of each level of plan required by the project.

Module 3 - Controlling an IT Project (one day workshop)

In this module you will learn to:

Select and apply a practical and effective series of project controls to each project.

Schedule the involvement of project team members at each control point.

Apply objective methods to measure the progress of the project against the plans.

Integrate quality assurance procedures into all phases of the project.

Design and implement a suitable change control mechanism.



Part B. IT Project Business and Data Modeling

Module 4 - Business Modeling (one day workshop)

In this module you will learn to:

Analyze any business process and produce a clear pictorial representation of it.

Carry out this analysis to precisely the level of detail required.

Identify problem areas and opportunities within an existing business environment.

Assess the impact of any proposed changes to an existing business process.

Create industry standard diagrams, prior to automation or migration to new technology.

Module 5 - Data Modeling (one day workshop)

In this module you will learn to:

Analyze any information environment and produce a clear pictorial representation of it.

Create industry standard diagrams as a foundation for systems design or enhancement.

Identify potential problems within the current data environment.

Assess the impact of any proposed changes to an existing information system.



Part C. Developing and Organizing Business Case

Module 6 - DEVELOPING BUSINESS CASE FOR IT PROJECT (one day workshop)

In this Module you will have opportunity to develop "real" business case for proposed IT Project.

The workshop consultants will coach you in the process of developing it.

You will work in groups/teams of three (3) and will have to present your business case in from (front) of all class participants.
